Stamps featuring the Liong Tek Go Family Association

The Philippine Postal Corporation will issue a pair of stamps to commemorate the centennial of the Liong Tek Go Family Association.

Designs:  One features Tai Bei Kong born in Shanxi Province, China in 1306 B.C., most honored ancestor of the Go Family, for his Noble Acts of self-sacrifice by renouncing as heir to the throne to his nephew, Ji Zhang of Zhou Kingdom and the other one shows the Liong Tek Go Family Centennial official logo.  

The Go Families' ancestors, starting from Tai Bei Kong of Shanxi Province, China, took the first step to migrate sometime from 618 AD in the Tang Dynasty, continuing through 1368 A.D. in the Ming Dynasty and up to 1644 during the Ching Dynasty. Read more.

 

The stamps and First Day Covers will be available starting June 16, 2008 at the Philatelic Service, Door 203, Liwasang Bonifacio, 1000 Manila and at all Regional Offices of the Philippine Postal Corporation.
