Stamps featuring the Beatification of Pope John Paul II

The Philippine Postal Corporation is set to issue special stamps on May 30, 2011 featuring the Beatification of Pope John Paul II. Before an estimated 1.5 million of pilgrims, Pope John Paul II was beatified in Rome last May 1, 2011. According to Wikipedia, “Pope John Paul II reigned as pope of the Roman Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City for almost 27 years.
