The Philippine Postal Corporation will issue a pair of stamps to commemorate the 100 years of Chan-Cu Association.

Graphic and Layout Artist Designs (Stamps): One features Chan-Tze, born in 505 B.C., the most honored scholar ancestor of the Chan-Cu Family.  The other one shows the Chan-Cu Centennial logo for the centennial celebration in November 2006.
Design (First Day Cover): The Chan-Cu Association of the Philippines Inc. principal house which houses the Chan-Cu Association office, conference room, social activities hall, and family ancestors temple, was inaugurated in 1978 and is located at Rizal Avenue, Sta Cruz, Manila; Edifices of the Northern Luzon chapter at San Fernando, La Union and the Bicol chapter at Legaspi City.

In November 1906, a group of Chan-Cu immigrants in the Philippines organized the Chan-Cu Family Association. The name has been changed a number of times; today, it is registered as the CHAN-CU ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. Read more.

 

Stamps and Official First Day Covers will be available starting August 28, 2006 at the Philatelic Service, Door 203, Liwasang Bonifacio, 1000 Manila and all Regional Offices of the Philippine Postal Corporation.
