Butterflies IX

The Philippine Postal Corporation will continue its Philippine butterflies definitive series with two new stamps dated “2006” for use as make-up rates necessitated by the increase in local postage rates effective January 16, 2006.

The P2.00 stamp is a new value in the definitive series, and features a new butterfly. The P5.00 stamps is a modified version of the previous P5.00 stamp and depict the same butterfly.

Stamps and official first day covers will be available starting May 10,2006 at the Philatelic Service, Door 203, Liwasang Bonifacio, 1000 Manila and all regional offices of the Philippine Postal Corporation.
