Trivia about Philippine Birds II

Brown Shrike (Lanius cristatus)
Medium sized bird with forehead pale grey leading into greyish brown head and back; dark brown wings; throat white; breast and belly golden buff.

Philippine Hawk-Eagle (Spizaetus philippensis)
Large bird with long crest, feather tarsus, underparts are dark and belly is white. Rest of upperparts are dark brown, tail with nanow dark bands and throat buff with broad dark brown mesial stripe and bordered by distinct, streaked moustachial stripes. Perches in dense canopy, soars regularly and presence is often revealed by its distinctive 2-note call “wheet-whit”. Found in Luzon.
