Made a controversial decision to use the Atomic Bomb against Japan thus ending WWIl. As theCold War started, US declared to combat Communismthru Truman Doctrine that gave way to Marshall Planand North Atlantic Treaty. He fired Gen. Douglas MacArthur for insubordination over controversy on U.S. Far East policy.
MOTHER TERESA (1910-1997)
World renowned for her love of the poorest of the poor; a saint of the gutter ; a living saint. She founded the Missionaries of Charity and establishedhomes around the word for children the elderly, handicapped, lepers and Aids victims. She received numerous awards including the Magsaysay Award and the Nobel Peace Prize.
JAWAHARLAL NEHRU (1889-1964)
First Prime Minister of the Dominion of India until it became an independent republic in 1950. He e showed the ways in the early difficult years of freedom as Father of New India.
