The beginning stamp collector will probably have hundreds of questions.
For example, a collector might want to know what countries and topics to collect which album t begin with methods of display. problems on soaking and or mounting specific stamps. This is where the  local stamp clubs and the local stamp collectors, can of enormous  assistance to the beginner.

Beginners may no always feel welcome when they go to their first club meeting. Sometimes they approach the wrong people when they seek information. They should approach people who have more time to help them as well as the officers of the clubs who usually are willing to do things for other people on the other hand the old timers or the more experienced collectors should show a greater willingness to assist the beginner. These person do exist and their service to the hobby is an invaluable blessing and an enormous help. Nothing is more important to a beginner than finding a common ground for discussions and expression of interest.

Over the years, the PSHS Foundation has been tapping philanthropic individuals, businesses, socio – civic organizations, parents, and alumni here and abroad as sources of financial assistance. We continue to expect that the bulk of fresh funds w ill come from large organizations and established foundations with strong community outreach programs, especially those with focus on education such as your organization.

To enable the Philippine Science High School to continue with its unique and nation-critical mission, the PSHS Foundation requests for your organization,s kind and generous donation to the amount of P1 millionn.

By charter mandate, capital funds and endowments raised or solicited cannot be touched. Only the interest earnings from the investment of the Foundation's funds can be utilized for the various projects. Hence, a P1M donation, invested in long term securities, could easily yield a net annuity of P100,000.

How does one get wired to the 21st Century?

PSHS schoolars have access to a wide range of laboratory, communication and technical wquepment not usually available in other high schools. Will the government continue to ignore its call for a budget increase after so many years to keeps up with the developments in technology and trends?

Top quality secondary education produces adult achievers

The fact that nearly 98{1104248511d637c6a51014dcaacb77de829b1de96a4faa7392b7bed9a15aa427} of PSHS graduating students every year take science, math, engineering or technology courses in college is a testament to the effectiveness of the PSHS mission . Of ihe class of 2001, for example, 217 (45.7{1104248511d637c6a51014dcaacb77de829b1de96a4faa7392b7bed9a15aa427}) selected a math or science degree course while 250 (5260/0) chose an engineering or technology course. For the class of 2002,226 (41 .9o/o) chose science or math and 309 (56.40/0) took up an engineering or technology field of study.

Not too surprisingly, a large number of PSHS students also graduate from their college or university with highest distinciion. 1. Brahminy Kite (Haliastur Indus) – common in open areas often near water, but also in mountains. They fly with their wings held forward and slightly bent at wrist. They call with distinctive nasal ah-a-eeehhh.
2. Olive-Backed Sunbird (Nectarinia jugularis) ,- most common lowland sunbird usually found in coconut plantations. Female sunbird has uniform olive green upper parts and uniform yellow underparts. They call che-wheeeeet or a loud, clear sweeet sweeet.
